Development Team

Tahoe Endurance offers a Devo team pathway for youth athletes aged 10-13. The goal of the Devo team is to create a purposeful process of improving young athletes' individual skills across a variety of sports. The Devo team is intended to be broad based while promoting ski specific training in addition to educating parents and athletes about program paths from the local level through the national level. The ultimate goal of the Devo team is to create a love of the sport that will continue to flourish throughout one’s life and develop well rounded athletes through hours spent having fun in the mountains.

This program is designed primarily for athletes who have completed at least three seasons of organized nordic skiing, and are interested in skiing at the next level. All participants in the Devo program will also be encouraged to participate in local youth racing as well as race for their respective Middle School Nordic Programs in the winter.

Our Devo program offers three weekly training sessions for U12 athletes, and four weekly sessions for U14 athletes. Practices will consist of rollerskiing/skiing, running, hiking, mountain biking, and ski imitation drills.
